KOCHI: Before the assembly election process, the KPCC leadership meeting will be held at the Ernakulam DCC office at 10 am on the 15th. Effort is ongoing to complete the seat-sharing discussions with the constituent parties. Discussions related to the determination of the Congress candidate may also be held.

The Puthu Yuga Yatra led by Opposition Leader VD Satheesan will observe a holiday on Sunday, and so this date was zeroed by the leadership to convene the meeting.

Members of the Political Affairs Committee, KPCC office bearers, executive committee members, DCC presidents, MPs, MLAs, etc., will participate.

The meeting will also include an assessment of the Puthu Yuga Yatra and a review of the house-visiting program organised by the KPCC.

The Congress and UDF leadership are looking forward to discussions to induct RJD into their fold. Although M.V. Shreyams Kumar revealed that he will remain firmly in the LDF, the UDF expects RJD to jump ship before the elections. Minister Roshy Augustine's ad-lib announcement of Jose K Mani's candidature in Pala created a minor stir in the Kerala Congress (M). Even Jose was perturbed since winning Pala remains a gargantuan task, and it would be wiser to opt for a more winnable constituency. The Congress leadership is also monitoring these developments.
