THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Special Investigation Team will question former Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran again in the Sabarimala gold theft case.

The move to question Pathanamthitta MP Anto Antony has also begun. Meanwhile, another photo of Kadakampally Surendran with the main accused Unnikrishnan Potty, surfaced on Sunday.

The Special Investigation Team found that Potty used political clout to carry out the theft. In this situation, it is required of Kadakampally to clarify more about his dubious relationship with Potty. This may also be included in the charge sheet.

When questioned earlier, Kadakampally stated that he only knew Potty as a sponsor in Sabarimala. The former minister had also confirmed visiting Potty's residence once. However, Potty's neighbour Vikraman Nair stated that he had seen Kadakampally at Potty's residence in Pulimath several times.

Amid the controversy comes the new photo of the former minister with Potty. This has yet again intensified doubts over the camaraderie shared between the two. The photo shows Kadakampally giving a gift to a student (relative of Potty) who excelled in academics. The photo was confirmed to have been taken from Potty's house. While answering media queries, Kadakampally sardonically said it would be wise to ask the student about the location where the photo was taken and not him.
