Moving car catches fire in capital city, narrow escape for youth, family

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A moving car caught fire in Vizhinjam. A Tata Indigo car caught fire when passing through the Vizhinjam Fire and Rescue Station. Ajay Kumar of Neyyattinkara and his family were in the car. A major accident was averted as they stopped the vehicle and got out immediately after the fire broke out.


Seeing smoke bellowing, the fire and rescue personnel rushed and brought the fire under control. The fire spread from the side of the AC. Initial reports said short circuit is the cause of the fire. Fire force official Pramod told media that a major accident was averted as the passengers got out of the car immediately. Fire force officials Sanu, Jinesh, Santhosh Kumar, Pradeep, Ratheesh and Sajan led the rescue operations.
