Moving car catches fire in Idukki; passengers escape miraculously

PAINAVU: A moving car caught fire at Chemmannu in Elappara, Idukki. The car, carrying passengers from Tamil Nadu, was completely destroyed, but all those inside escaped unharmed. The fire force reached the spot and extinguished the fire.

The passengers were natives of Chennai. No one was injured. After being alerted by locals, the fire force from Peermade arrived and doused the flames. On spotting smoke from the vehicle, the occupants immediately exited and moved to safety, narrowly avoiding a serious accident. The car was completely gutted in the fire.
