Murder accused 'Tension Sreejith' attends Balasangam event in Kannur, gives speech to children

KANNUR: Controversy erupted after a murder case accused attended an event of Balasangam, a children's organisation wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) in Kannur. Sreejith, a CPM activist known by the moniker ‘Tension Sreejith’, attended the meeting of the Balasangham Dharmadom North Village.

Sreejith was sentenced to life imprisonment in the 2008 murder case of BJP worker Nikhil in Thalassery. He was the prime accused in the case. Not just this, Sreejith is also an accused in the case of the murder of BJP worker KC Rajesh in Kunnothuparamba and the murder case of Aslam in Nadapuram.

It is said that Sreejith was specially invited by the Balasangham office bearers to the event. A video of him giving a speech to children is being widely circulated on social media.
