Murder case accused released from jail hacked to death in capital city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A murder accused, hacked at Powdikonam in the capital city, succumbed to his injuries. The accused identified as Joy of Kuttiyani in Nedumangad, who was in a serious condition after bleeding profusely, died Saturday morning at 2 am. No one has been arrested in the case. The police have intensified search for the miscreants, who came in a blue car.

Joy arraigned in a KAAPA case was released from jail two days ago. Joy was hacked by a car-borne team at the Society Junction when he was coming in an auto. Joy, who sustained serious leg injuries, was taken to the Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital by the police. Joy was lying on the road bleeding profusely for more than half an hour. The police said that they have identified the miscreants.
