Mysterious death of minor girl; No such Korean friend, more information emerges 

KOCHI: More information has emerged in the incident where a 16-year-old girl was found dead in a water-filled quarry. The dead is Adithya, only daughter of Mahesh of Kakkad. Reports say that she took the extreme step after being unable to cope with the death of a Korean band member she befriended via Instagram.

However, the girl's teacher said that there is no such friend and there is no such evidence in her Instagram account. So where did such rumors come from, what is the truth about the Korean connection in the case? What actually happened to the girl? The unanswered questions are endless.

The suicide note recovered said that she is ending her life out of grief over the death of a Korean youth she met on Instagram. However, her teacher clarified that many doubts still remain regarding the Instagram account mentioned in it.

A special team has been formed to investigate her death. A team including cyber police officers is investigating the case under the leadership of Puthenkurish DySP. Her mobile phone has been sent to the forensic lab for detailed examination.

Adithya, who left home to school on January 27, was found dead at around 9 am in the quarry near her house. The body was found during a search conducted by a relative, an auto driver, who saw her school bag lying near the quarry.
