THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister V Sivankutty has harshly criticized opposition leader V D Satheesan. The minister stepped forward responding to Satheesan's statement that it was the misfortune of children to have to study in schools when V Sivankutty is the education minister and that no other cabinet in Kerala’s history has consisted of so many ignorant ministers.

Sivankutty said that he challenges Satheesan to point out another government that has brought development of Rs 9,000 crore to the public education sector over a period of ten years. Sivankutty's statement was via a Facebook post.

Aren't there states ruled by Congress in the country? What is happening there? Satheesan is deliberately trying to link me with the Sangh Parivar. Satheesan should remember who the candidate was when the LDF defeated the BJP in Nemom. The person who bent his spine before the portrait of Golwalkar is not Sivankutty, it is V D Satheesan. After that incident, his name on social media became Vinayak Damodar Satheesan. I don't call him that anyway.
