SHARJAH: The body of Vipanchika, a native of Kollam who was found dead at her residence in the UAE, will be brought back to India. However, her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Vaibhavi, who was also found dead with her, was laid to rest in the Gulf. The funeral was held on Thursday at 4 PM local time in the UAE. Vipanchika Maniyan (33) of Rajitha Bhavan, Keralapuram, Kottamkara, Kollam, and her daughter Vaibhavi Nidheesh (1 and a half years old) were found dead at their residence in Al Nahda on July 8.
Vaibhavi’s father, Nidheesh, attended the funeral. Relatives of both Nidheesh and Vipanchika were also present. Vipanchika’s mother and brother attended the ceremony as well. Family members have alleged that Vipanchika killed her daughter and took her own life due to domestic abuse. So far, reports indicate that she had been subjected to severe physical and emotional abuse.
It was also alleged that Nidheesh’s parents and sister mentally harassed Vipanchika. Further accusations claim that Nidheesh suffered from serious behavioural issues. Vipanchika had earlier accused him of having an extramarital affair. It is believed that Vipanchika ended her life after killing her daughter. Her body will be brought to Kerala on Monday. The decision was made to perform Vaibhavi’s last rites in the UAE itself.
