
THRISSUR: Rapper Vedan and Navami Latha will tie the knot today. While talking to the media Tuesday morning, Vedan said that his wedding is a very simple intimate function with the Indian Constitution as witness.
'My wedding will be a simple function attended by only my closest friends and family members. I have not been able to invite many people who have always been with me during my growth. None of you should feel offended for that. We need your blessings and your minds with us on this day. Thank you', said Vedan.
Rapper Vedan and Navami Latha are getting married after being in a relationship for quite some time. The wedding will be held at the registrar's office. A reception is being hosted for close friends and relatives at a resort near the city. His friends had arranged a bachelor party for the two on the banks of Periyar in Aluva on Sunday evening. CPM state secretary M V Govindan, Hibi Eden MLA, footballer I M Vijayan and others are expected to attend the wedding today.
The outside world came to know about Navami when the song 'Mona lova', written by Vedan, expressing the intensity of his love, was released. Navami, who completed her law degree from Ernakulam Law College, has written a book titled 'Poombattavetta'. She is working on another book. Navami often accompanies Vedan at public events. When Vedan arrived in Thiruvananthapuram to receive the State Film Award for Best Lyricist, Navami Latha was also with him.
Vedan alias Hirandas Murali is a well-known rapper in Kerala. Vedan gained attention with his first music video, 'Voice of the Voiceless', released in 2020. His second music video, 'Bhoomi Njan Vazhunnidam', also gained attention. The most recent song 'Ennakaruppi' was also a hit. Vedan won the state film award for best lyricist for the song 'Kuthantram' from the movie 'Manjummal Boys'.
