KANNUR: The suicide note of Reema, who jumped into a river in Kannur, has surfaced. The note blamed her husband Kamalraj and mother-in-law Prema for the death of her and her son Rishivraj (two and a half years old). He deserted me and my son after hearing his mother’s words. Her note said that he asked her to die. Her note said that her mother-in-law harassed her mentally. Reema and her son jumped into the Chemballikundu River. The child was cremated yesterday.

Reema jumped into the river along with her son around midnight last Saturday. After a long search, Reema's body was found Sunday morning. Reema reached the Chemballikundu bridge with her son on a scooter. She then jumped into the river from the bridge.

Her suicide note
Have no faith in the legal system of the state. No woman gets justice. Desire to live with my son has not been fulfilled. She blamed her in-laws for her death. Constantly harassing for no reason. He asked me to go and die. He wants his mother to win. The man who abandoned his wife and child at the behest of his mother, now wants the child. His mother, since the day I got married, has not given me any peace. She harasses me always and makes our life horrible. My in-laws talk good, but make our lives miserable. I trusted my husband, but enough, nothing more.
