BENGALURU: As a reply to a defamation case filed by CPM state secretary MV Govindan, Swapna Suresh's said that she does not intend to apologize. Swapna also asked whether MV Govind would go for a case after depositing 10 percent of Rs 1 crore as court fee.

"I didn't say on Facebook Live that Vijesh Pillai was sent by MV Govindan. Vijesh Pillai said that he was sent by MV Govindan. Therefore, the defamation notice sent by MV Govindan is baseless. Not even a penny will be given as compensation", Swapna said.

"I came to know about MV Govindan through Vijesh Pillai. Before that I did not know who MV Govindan was or what his party status is. Therefore, the argument that the statement is intended to harm his good name in the society cannot stand.", she added
