'Oommen Chandy intervened and destroyed my family', says Minister Ganesh Kumar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister KB Ganesh Kumar unloaded a series of allegations against late Oommen Chandy, the former chief minister of Kerala. Ganesh Kuamr alleged that it was the mediation of Oommen Chandy that destroyed his family and warned the late leader's son, Chandy Oommen, not to talk topics he was unaware of.

Yesterday, while attending an event at Pathanapuram, Chandy Oommen MLA alleged that Ganesh Kumar had committed nefarious acts in the solar case to incriminate Oommen Chandy.

“Anybody can inspect the statement I gave to the Central Bureau of Investigation regarding the solar case. Before my father died, he told me that Oommen Chandy would never do such a thing. In the statement to CBI, I reiterated that I believe Oommen Chandy would never do such an act.

However, it is the same Oommen Chandy who destroyed my family. His intervention ensured that my children stayed away from me. Will Oommen Chandy or his son answer for the evil deed that broke my family and distanced me from my children? I also have something to say about the ordeals I have passed through. Chandy Oommen should stay quiet, or else I will have to talk about more such hitherto unknown details,” said Ganesh Kumar.

Chandy Oommen made the allegation while inaugurating a reception given to UDF members of Pathanapuram panchayat and block panchayat at Mancode Junction. Chandy said that it was Ganesh Kumar, who deviously plotted a move that saw Oommen Chandy’s name get involved in the controversial 18-page letter on the Solar case.
