PALAKKAD: Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, who is absconding following a sexual abuse case, is likely to reach Palakkad tomorrow to vote for the local body polls. His vote is in booth number 2 of St Sebastian's School at Kunnathurmedu South in Palakkad Municipality. The flat where Rahul lives is in this ward. This is the sitting seat of the Congress.

Rahul is ending his hiding life after being granted anticipatory bail in the rape case filed by a native of Bengaluru. The Thiruvananthapuram Principal Sessions Court considered his plea and granted bail with conditions. The conditions are that he should appear before the investigation team every Monday and should not influence the witnesses.

The Kerala High Court had stayed his arrest in the first case against Rahul. The second case was registered while the hearing was going on in this case. The email complaint received by KPCC was forwarded to the police. The complainant had given her statement in the case. The statement was recorded by SP Poonguzhali. The statement says that he raped her even after begging him so many times. Her statement said that she was threatened several times and that she did not come out for so long due to fear.
