Palakkad first, Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur second and third; record sales for Thiruvonam bumper lottery tickets

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvonam bumper ticket sales have crossed 57 lakh. Lottery tickets with the first prize of Rs 25 crore, the second prize of Rs 1 crore each for 20 persons, Rs 50 lakh for the third prize, Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh for the fourth and fifth prizes respectively and Rs 500 as the final prize is having record sales.

As of 4 pm yesterday (01.10.2024), out of the 70 lakh tickets currently printed, 56,74,558 tickets have reached the public.
On a district basis, Palakkad district is leading in sales this time as well. 1055980 tickets, including those from sub-offices, have already been sold here. 740830 tickets were sold in Thiruvananthapuram and 703310 tickets in Thrissur.
The department has intensified an awareness campaign stating that the sale of the state lottery is only in Kerala and that only paper lottery is being sold. The department is going ahead with an awareness campaign against fake lotteries in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu along with Hindi.
