PDP upholds secularism; will accept support from all good humans, says M Swaraj

MALAPPURAM: M Swaraj, the LDF candidate in Nilambur said that there is no ambiguity over whose vote he would accept and whose vote he won't. Speaking to a media outlet, Swaraj said that PDP upholds secularism and that he would accept support from all good humans.

The other day, CPM state secretary MV Govindan had come out praising the PDP. He stated that the PDP represents a persecuted section of society.

MV Govindan had also alleged that the UDF has become an alliance of communal forces. He said that the UDF had aligned with communal groups in every previous election. His criticism came following Jamaat-e-Islami's declaration of support for the UDF.
