THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Fort School headmaster TS Pradeepkumar has been suspended in the incident where a POCSO case accused participated in the school reopening ceremony. The action was taken by school manager P Jyothindrakumar on the instructions of Minister V Sivankutty. The Deputy Director of Education had submitted a report stating that the school had committed a serious error in the incident. Minister V Sivankutty had stated last week that the government would take action if the school manager did not take action.

Mukesh M Nair, a vlogger involved in a POCSO case, had participated in the school reopening ceremony held on June 2. According to the report of the Deputy Director of Education, although he was invited by an organization called JCI, which distributed study materials, the school authorities cannot escape responsibility.

Mukesh had also distributed gifts to students who achieved excellent results in the SSLC examination. Retired Assistant Commissioner Sunil O.A. and Ward Councilor Janaki Ammal were also present at the venue. The Kovalam police is investigating the case, naming Mukesh as the prime accused, based on a complaint by the parents of a 15-year-old girl.
