THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A government school in the capital city came under flak from netizens after a vlogger accused in a POCSO case was made the chief guest for the reopening day on Monday.

Vlogger Mukesh M Nair arrived at Fort High School on Monday as the chief guest of the day. Mukesh is currently embroiled in a case which comes under the purview of Kovalam police after the parents of a 15-year-old girl came against him.

According to the complaint, the 15-year-old girl was made to appear seminude in a shoot and the accused even ran his hands through her body inappropriately. Mukesh M. Nair was granted conditional bail by the POCSO court recently in the case.

On Monday, incongruously, the same accused Mukesh was assigned to give prizes to students who achieved high marks in the SSLC examination from the school. At a time when the Department of Public Education is adopting strict measures to dismiss teachers involved in POCSO cases, the Fort school officials took the bizarre option to invite a POCSO case accused as chief guest for the reopening day. A massive uproar is ongoing in the incident.
