Rahul Mamkootathil sends Rs 10 crore defamation notice to MA Sahanas for 'false allegations'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Mamkootathil MLA sent a legal notice against Congress leader MA Sahanas. Rahul blamed Sahanas for portraying him in a bad light in a recent press conference in Kozhikode. The Palakkad MLA demanded Rs 10 crore in compensation.

The lawyer’s notice denied the allegations raised by Sahanas and said that the money from the compensation would be used to build houses for 100 poor people.

After Rahul was released on bail in the sexual assault case, M A Sahanas intensified her attack on the MLA whom she alleged had approached her with sexual intentions. Sahanas said that she was in no friendship with Rahul and doesn’t even have a selfie with the Palakkad MLA. Sahanas also denied Rahul’s claim that he was invited by her to participate in a literature festival.

Sahanas said that women would have no difficulty in identifying the flirtatious behaviour of Rahul. She said that it was Rahul who prevailed upon her to conduct a literature fest.

“I don’t have anything to be concerned about regarding Rahul’s accusation. Does he have the guts to appear before me for a debate? I do have the urge to walk straight to his house and talk about the issues. I am sure Rahul would shiver to even sit in front of me,” said Sahanas.
