Reached Sabarimala by tractor: ADGP MR Ajith Kumar's journey in controversy

SABARIMALA: The tractor trip conducted by ADGP MR Ajith Kumar in Sabarimala in violation of the High Court order is in controversy. The trip was from Pampa to Sannidhanam and back. It is also alleged that it was Pathanamthitta SP VG Vinod Kumar who arranged the facilities. The Special Branch will investigate the incident and submit a report to Intelligence Chief P Vijayan.

Ajith Kumar's journey was by climbing into a tractor's transport box from a place in Pampa where there was no CCTV camera and covering himself with a tarpaulin sheet. Some pilgrims captured the footage on their mobile phones. Ajith Kumar had reached Sabarimala in connection with the consecration ceremony of the Navagraha temple built near the Malikappuram temple.

Even carrying a cleaner in a tractor is punishable for safety reasons. Sannidhanam Special Commissioner R Jayakrishnan was paying special attention to this matter. He had also taken steps including cancelling the permits of tractors carrying people. However, due to health reasons, he could not reach Sabarimala for the last month's puja and the consecration ceremony.
