Red alert: Holiday declared for educational institutions in three Kerala districts tomorrow

KANNUR: In the wake of heavy rains, the district collectors declared a holiday for educational institutions in three districts in Kerala tomorrow. The holiday has been declared for educational institutions in Kasaragod, Kannur and Wayanad districts for Friday. There is a red alert in all three districts on Friday.

The holiday applies to schools, colleges, professional colleges, Kendriya Vidyalayas, tuition centres, madrasas, anganwadis and special classes in Kasargod. All previously announced exams (including professional, university and other departmental exams) will be held as scheduled. There will be no change in the exam timings.

The Collector announced that a holiday has been declared for schools, Anganwadis, religious institutions and tuition centres in Kannur district on July 18.

In the wake of the red alert, a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions except residential educational institutions in the Wayanad district on Friday. The holiday applies to professional colleges, religious institutions, Anganwadis and tuition centres. The holiday does not apply to pre-scheduled exams.
