Breath analyzers will be installed in all depots of KSRTC, 20 breath analyzers have been procured so far and 50 more will be procured this month, the minister said.

The employee will be suspended for one month if found drunk during a pre-duty inspection and for three months if found drunk during an on-duty inspection. Temporary employees will be dismissed.

Inspection will be done in private buses just like it was done in KSRTC. The motor vehicle department squad is in charge of the inspections at private bus stands. It has been decided to cancel the trip for that day if the drivers are found to be drunk
