KOCHI: Former DGP Jacob Thomas is becoming active in the RSS. He will participate in the RSS Padasanchalanam to be held in Kochi on October 1, Vijayadashami day, the foundation day of the RSS. He will become a full-time worker by participating in the program, wearing the RSS uniform, Ganvesh. Although Jacob Thomas does not hold any office in the RSS, he is currently working as part of the BJP.

'RSS is a better option for service. I do not want any positions. The goal is full-time work. I am becoming active in the RSS, which is celebrating its 100th year, with the idea of being attached to India with all my heart. I have been attracted to the RSS since 1997. Now I am walking with those ideas. I joined the RSS in response to communal allegations. The Sangh has no politics. It is the largest voluntary organization in the world. It is an organization that works for the upliftment of the people. I am also becoming a part of it,' Jacob Thomas clarified. Jacob Thomas had participated as a guest in some of the RSS programs earlier.

After retiring from the police, Jacob Thomas joined the BJP in 2021 at the Thrissur conference attended by BJP national president JP Nadda. He contested as a BJP candidate from the Irinjalakuda assembly constituency in the last assembly elections but lost. He had secured more than 30,000 votes that time.
