Rift in Palakkad BJP; Candidate list unilateral, former municipal chairperson turns against C Krishna Kumar

PALAKKAD: There are sharp differences of opinion in the Palakkad BJP. Former municipality chairperson Prameela Sasidharan said the candidate list was prepared unilaterally. She informed the state leadership that BJP state vice president C Krishna Kumar is trying to capture the organisation in the district.

She said that she was not invited to the candidate announcement convention. Came to know about the candidate contesting in her own ward only last evening. Will not invite for any functions. She also clarified that during her last term as chairperson, a section isolated and crucified her. Pramila added that she attends programs if invited without looking politics and that sharing the dais with Rahul Mamkootathil MLA is one such example.

Pramila sharing the stage with Rahul was widely discussed in the BJP. Pramila Sasidharan and Rahul attended the inaugural function of stadium bypass link road. The road was built using Rahul's MLA funds. The BJP's stand was that will not allow Rahul to attend a public program.
