THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amidst jibes and taunts over his 'missing', MoS Suresh Gopi shared a note on social media in connection with the 71st Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
"The Union Ministry of Tourism has allowed a central financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh for the 71st Nehru Trophy Boat Race to be held on August 30, 2025. This boat race festival, which will highlight Kerala's rich culture and tourism potential at the national and international levels, is sure to bring economic benefits and tourism growth to Kerala," Suresh Gopi wrote on Facebook.
Criticism came Suresh Gopi’s way for his surprising silence on the Kerala nuns' arrest in Chhattisgarh. The youth congress even filed a case with the police demanding an investigation into the disappearance of Thrissur MP. Trouble added up for the Thrissur MP after the opposition raised allegations of election fraud in his constituency during the last LS elections.
KSU Thrissur District President Gokul Guruvayur filed a complaint with Thrissur police over the ‘missing’ of Suresh Gopi. It was meant to be a barb at the leader for his dubious silence over the issue.
