KOLLAM: Former Devaswom Board president N Vasu, who was arrested in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft case, has been remanded again. The Kollam Vigilance Court ordered his remand for 14 more days. Vasu was produced before the Vigilance Court today after the earlier remand period ended. The court had earlier rejected his bail plea and later sent him back to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the Vigilance Court is also scheduled to consider the bail plea of Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, who was recently arrested in the same case. In his bail application, the Tantri stated that the arguments made in the remand report submitted by the Special Investigation Team are incorrect and highly unusual. He has also claimed that he has no role in the gold theft.
