"Sabarimala women entry heroine Bindu Ammini is LDF candidate"; CPM files complaint with Collector over false campaign

PATHANAMTHITTA: CPM has filed a complaint with the Pathanamthitta District Collector over the false propaganda that Bindu Ammini is contesting as an LDF candidate.

False propaganda is being spread on social media that Bindu Ammini is contesting in Ward 20 of Ranni Panchayat. The complaint has been filed with the Collector by Pathanamthitta District Secretary Raju Abraham. The card is being circulated with the title "Sabarimala Pooratta Nayika".

Bindu Ammini had earlier written to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, requesting permission to participate in the global Ayyappa Sangam. In her open letter to the Chief Minister, Bindu Ammini had said that it was sad that the government was not ready to include women between the ages of ten and fifty as representatives in the Sangam to be held on the banks of the Pampa River, and that it was hurting her self-respect as a woman.
