THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan against the Chief Minister on Sanatana Dharma reference. Satheesan said that he disagreed with the Chief Minister on the Sanatana Dharma reference. "The level of communalism in Kerala is such that it can set water on fire. Many people are waiting for a spark," he said.

"Sanatana Dharma is being misinterpreted. How can Sanatana Dharma be part of Chaturvarnya? Sanatana Dharma is our culture," VD Satheesan said. He was inaugurating the Sivagiri closing session. Sanatana Dharma is being attributed as the right of a section of people. Sanatana dharma does not belong to the people meant by CM. It is the tradition and heritage of the entire people of the country. The very word "saffronisation" itself is wrong. Satheesan also asked if those who go to the temple, wear saffron and put sandalwood on forehead belong to a special class.
