KODUNGALLUR: Livia Jose, a native of Mattoor Kalady was arrested for framing beauty parlour owner Sheela Sunny in the fake LSD case out of resentment over the latter allegedly bad-mouthing about her. Livia committed the crime with the help of her friend Narayana Das.
Allegations:
Sheela and her husband Sunny spoke ill of Livia's lifestyle. Livia had bought a fridge, TV and furniture for her house. Sheela raised doubt about Livia’s financial source as she was then pursuing a hotel management course and had not started earning.
Livia heard a voice message that Sheela had sent to her son Sangeeth on WhatsApp. All this ignited the fire of resentment in Livia and she decided to humiliate Sheela Sunny.
It was Livia’s devious idea to trap Sheela in a drug use case and she discussed the same with Narayana Das. After questioning the arrested Livia, Kodungallur First Class Magistrate R.A. Sherin remanded her. Livia is the sister of Sheela's niece. Sheela was arrested by the Excise on February 27, 2023, in the case of possession of LSD stamps.
Narayana Das bought the LSD stamp from an African. However, he was cheated with a duplicate. Narayana Das was arrested from Bommanahalli, Bengaluru last April. The investigation team decided to question Livia and Narayana Das together. An application will be made to get both of them in custody. Sheela's son Sangeeth was called for questioning but to no avail. His phone is switched off.
Sheela Sunny said she does not remember sending a voice message to her son defaming Livia. Sheela said that it was other relatives who informed Sangeeth about Livia’s enigmatic attitude. The family even decided to travel to Bengaluru to learn more about Livia. Sheela said that it was within Livia’s character to hold a grudge against anyone who she dislikes.
