School bus loses control and falls into ravine in Nilamel; 22 students injured

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 22 students sustained injuries after a school bus lost control and fell into a ravine at Veykal in Nilamel. The bus involved in the accident belonged to Vidya Jyothi LP School in Pappala, Kilimanoor. The injured students have been admitted to the Kadakkal Taluk Hospital and Parippally Medical College. Reports said that none of the injuries are serious. The accident took place on Monday afternoon.

According to witnesses, the bus lost control on a slope and fell into the ravine. Locals said that a major tragedy was avoided as the bus came to a halt after crashing into a tree.
