School students to write class exams every month; Directorate of General Education to prepare unified question papers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V Sivankutty said that class exams will be conducted every month to assess and improve the quality of students' studies. The unified question paper for the exam will be prepared by the Directorate of General Education. The needy children will be provided with study support, the minister said at a press conference after the meeting of district education officers in connection with the Comprehensive Quality Project.

Kerala's achievement of coming second in the country in the study achievement survey conducted by the Central Education Department will be celebrated as a victory day in all schools on the 10th. There will also be a special assembly. Minister V Sivankutty will perform the state-level inauguration in Thiruvananthapuram.

The recommendation to conduct general transfer procedures of government higher secondary school principals online was submitted to the government. A copy of the academic master plan will be given to the students. DD, AEO, DEO will visit the schools at regular intervals. The Minister directed that there should be no delay in files including disability appointments. Pending files without legal complications at the DD, AEO, DEO level should be settled before 31st. All education offices should have a front office that is adequate to respond to inquiries. The Minister also informed that instructions have been given to start school nutrition gardens in schools by August 15th.
