Security breach during President’s visit; youths seen riding bikes without helmets

KOTTAYAM: There was a security breach during President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Pala. Three youths on a bike, passed the police on a road where traffic restrictions were imposed. The visuals of this have surfaced.

Traffic restrictions were imposed on the road while the President was delivering a speech at the Platinum Jubilee valedictory function of St Thomas College in Pala. However, three people on a bike overtook the restrictions on a road where vehicles had no entry. The police tried to stop them, but they rode the bike fast without stopping. The youths were on a bike with the number K L 06 J 6920.

The Pala circle inspector said the bike is being monitored and the youths will be taken into custody immediately. He said the youths will be fined. The one on the driver’s seat had a helmet and the other two pillion riders were not wearing helmets.
