KASARAGOD: A woman raised serious allegations against her father, who is also a CPM leader in Uduma, Kasaragod. Uduma area committee member PV Bhaskaran's daughter Sangeetha has come out against her father and family. In the video released, Sangeetha alleged facing torture from her family for expressing her wish to marry a Muslim man.

Sangeetha, a divorcee, is now paralyzed below her torso after getting injured in a road accident. Sangeetha said she is now under house arrest and being denied proper treatment. Sangeetha said that her father and brother took all the money she received as alimony after divorce.

“You can practice communism outside the house. It has no place inside our family. If you won’t obey, then I will kill you. I know the ways to come out of jail unscathed.” This, according to Sangeetha, is what her father told her when she expressed her wish to marry a Muslim man. Sangeetha had filed a complaint with the SP and the Collector the other day, describing her situation. However, the police have not yet taken any official action on the woman's complaint.
