THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V Sivankutty justified the presence of chief minister’s family in the review meeting convened in connection with the inauguration of the Vizhinjam port along with him. No official things were discussed in the meeting. It is not right to criticize for everything, the minister said.
‘Aren’t the chief minister's daughter and grandson living in Kerala. No other decisions were taken in the official meeting there. Only showed how it was operating. There were many including journalists. It is very difficult if criticized like this. If it is this way, children of leaders will not be able to turn left or right. That is why I did not keep my son anywhere here.
The hard work of the LDF government is seen in Vizhinjam. No one else should take the credit of it. Since the Vizhinjam port is our baby, the chief minister, his family and all of us went there and carefully inspected it to see if there was any defect. Delhi has to decide who all should participate in Prime Minister's programme. It is not up to us to include the opposition leader,' said V Sivankutty.
