Stale food seized from hotel in Varkala; authorities slap fine

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Stale food items were seized from the hotels in Varkala. The health department of the corporation seized the stale food items from hotels in an inspection conducted Wednesday morning.

Stale food was seized from Palace Hotel operating in front of the railway station and Farmers Hotel operating at Nadayara Junction in an inspection conducted in about ten establishments in Varkala town. Banned plastic products were also seized from four hotels. The officials of the health department said that a fine have been imposed on hotels that stored stale food items.
