State's biggest hybrid ganja bust; drugs worth Rs 6 crore seized

KOCHI: A major drug bust in Nedumbassery. Abdul Samad of Wayanad was arrested with hybrid cannabis worth Rs 6 crore. The ganja was brought from Bangkok. The customs arrested him from a flight that arrived early Tuesday morning. When he came out of the Nedumbassery airport, the customs officers became suspicious and checked his bag.

The bag contained six and a half kilos of ganja in small packets. Its value is estimated at Rs 6.5 crore. Samad smuggled the ganja from Bangkok. He is being grilled at the airport. He will be produced in the court soon. This is the biggest hybrid ganja bust in the state recently.
