THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the ten years were not just a period of rule but a period that laid a solid foundation for the creation of Nava Kerala. He was inaugurating the fifth Kerala Studies Congress at AKG Hall.
"During this period, there is no area in Kerala that has not been touched by development. There are no families that have not tasted development. No sector has been left behind. Kerala is a state with less corruption. The government is not protecting any form of communalism. There are some in Kerala who are proud of being the strongest communal organisation in the country. Even they cannot hold their heads up like before. This is the result of the steps taken by the government in the last ten years. Kerala should be transformed into the kind of place that children dream of. We need the confidence of being a great Kerala, not the sense of inferiority of being a small Kerala. We intend to move forward on our own strength without waiting for anyone's mercy," the Chief Minister added.
