THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Thiruvananthapuram, where the BJP has secured power in a corporation for the first time in Kerala. It is reported that state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has been informed about this. The Prime Minister, who called him on the phone, congratulated him on the election victory. However, it has not been decided when Narendra Modi will visit Thiruvananthapuram.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed gratitude to Thiruvananthapuram for giving the BJP a majority in the Corporation. Prime Minister said that the mandate the BJP-NDA got in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation is a watershed moment in Kerala’s politics. "The people are certain that the development aspirations of the state can only be addressed by our Party. Our Party will work towards this vibrant city’s growth and boost ‘Ease of Living’ for the people," the Prime Minister added.
A BJP mayor of Thiruvananthapuram will be there to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he arrives in the capital, Rajeev Chandrasekhar had told Kerala Kaumudi the other day. "The BJP has made a big breakthrough in the local body elections. We have brought change in Thiruvananthapuram. Now, people are demanding change in the assembly elections as well. We will work for that," he had informed.
