'This is LDF's victory'; CPI is not here to count wins and losses, says Binoy Viswam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam has responded to the reports that the government has decided to freeze the PM SHRI MoU. He said that it is a victory for the Left unity and that the Chief Minister would announce the decisions after the cabinet meeting.

“The Cabinet meeting is currently underway. The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, will announce the decisions once the meeting concludes. The CPI is not here to count wins or losses. This is the victory of the LDF, the victory of Left unity, and the victory of Left ideology and politics,” Binoy Viswam said.

According to reports, the CPM and the government decided to freeze the PM SHRI MoU following the CPI’s protest. The official announcement is expected after today’s Cabinet meeting.

Earlier, there were reports that four CPI ministers might skip the Cabinet meeting as a mark of protest. However, since the move to suspend the PM SHRI agreement was initiated before the meeting, the CPI ministers attended the session.
