Tourist bus carrying 45 passengers catches fire in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: A tourist bus carrying 45 passengers caught fire in Mundakayam. The incident happened around 4 am Tuesday morning. The bus Moksha, which was going from Madurai to Ernakulam, caught fire.

The bus had to be stopped after a tyre burst. Meanwhile, smoke was seen emanating from the bus. All the passengers were then evacuated. Meantime, it is not clear what caused the fire. There were no casualties or injuries in the fire. The bus was completely burnt in the fire. The fire was extinguished by the fire force. The police and the motor vehicles department have started an investigation into the incident.
