Uncle beat Arjun, family scolded him first over Instagram; teacher against family

PALAKKAD: The school authorities stepped forward against the parents of Arjun (14) of Pallanchathanur, who committed suicide. The headmistress of Kannadi Higher Secondary School said the boy was very upset in class the day before he committed suicide. She said the boy's uncle beat him and his parents were the first to find out and scold him for using Instagram. He had some issues at home. What the teacher said was to correct the boy. The real reason for the suicide should be known. The headmistress said the police should investigate the matter clearly.


Arjun’s classmate said all students are angry at the teacher. Arjun has some issues at home. He said Arjun was found to be very upset in class for a few days and that the other students are protesting without knowing the situation. However, all the other children in the school are protesting against the teacher. They said that they don’t have politics and the teacher who is behind Arjun's suicide should be dismissed. Protests are also being held in front of the school under the leadership of KSU.


Arjun committed suicide the other day. He hanged himself inside his house without even changing his school uniform. Arjun's family alleged that the teacher used to torture him mentally. His family's complaint is that the teacher threatened Arjun saying that he would be sent to jail for sending messages to children on Instagram. Arjun was a ninth-class student of Kannadi Higher Secondary School.
