KOCHI: The hearing on Vedan's anticipatory bail application has been completed. There were heavy arguments in the court. After hearing the arguments of both parties, the court adjourned the anticipatory bail application to Wednesday to pronounce its verdict. Vedan's lawyer argued in court that Vedan had intended to marry the woman at the beginning of the relationship and that the relationship deteriorated later. The defence's question was whether the sexual relationship between them at that time would constitute rape.

"The woman filed the complaint after two years. There was no complaint till then. Everything happened with consent," the Vedan's lawyer told the court. The complainant expressed concern that Vedan, being an influencer, would influence the investigation. "Vedan is just an artist. The complainant is the one who sees the media," Vedan's lawyer argued.

The victim's response was that she delayed filing the complaint because she was depressed. The court asked whether the woman was working during this period. Vedan's lawyer said that she was. The victim's lawyer also brought to the court's attention the fact that the police had filed a new FIR against Vedan. The verdict in the case was adjourned to Wednesday after both sides completed their arguments.
