
KOCHI: Renowned theatre artist Vijesh KV (49) passed away after he collapsed during a drama training session at Thevara Sacred Heart College, Ernakulam. Vijesh was rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. Vijesh is a well-known playwright, director and acting coach. Vijesh, a native of Kozhikode, was married to film actress and theatre artist Kabani. The couple have a daughter, Zaira.
Vijesh became active in the theatre industry after studying at the School of Drama. After marriage, he started a group called Theatre Beats with his wife Kabani and provided drama training to many students. Vijesh had also conducted acting training sessions for many films.
He made his film debut by writing songs for the film Thakarachenda, directed by Avira Rebecca. He has also been a part of films like Philip and the Monkey Pen, Malgudi Days, My God, My Great Father, Gold Coin, Pulliman, Amy, and Clint, among others. Vijesh is also the composer of many drama songs popular among Malayali audiences.
