Vishnujith was supposed to get married today but has been missing for four days; complaint filed on mysterious disappearance of groom

MALAPPURAM: A complaint has been lodged that a groom has been missing for four days. The groom, who was supposed to get married today, went missing from Pallippuram in Malappuram. The missing person has been identified as Vishnujith (30) of Kurunthala house in Pallipuram.

Vishnu had gone to his friends in Palakkad on the 4th of this month to arrange money for the wedding. Vishnu called home around 8 pm and informed that he would stay at a relative's house that day and would return the next day. Later, the mobile phone was switched off. When his friend in Palakkad was contacted, it was told that he had paid Rs 1 lakh to Vishnu and Vishnu had gone to Palakkad from Kanjikode with the money.

The last location of the mobile phone is showing Kanjikode. Malappuram police have registered an FIR and started an investigation based on the complaint lodged by the family members alleging that their son is missing. Vishnu's relatives said he had no other problems except financial difficulties. He was supposed to get married to a girl he had been in love with for four years. Vishnu is an employee of an ice cream company in Kanjikode, Palakkad.

SP Sasidharan said that preliminary information is that Vishnu had money and a two-member team has been formed for the investigation. The SP said that the investigation is focused on CCTV footage. Friends and locals are also searching for Vishnu.
