THRISSUR: CPI leader VS Sunil Kumar has alleged that the votes of BJP leaders from outside Thrissur constituency were also added here. He levelled this allegation while talking to a media. He said the names of BJP leader K R Shaji and his family from Nadathara in Varavoor panchayat were added to the list in Thrissur.
‘I found that Shaji and his family had committed irregularities in votes. Shaji is a permanent resident of Chelakkara constituency. He and his family live in Varavoor panchayat. His wife and others voted there in the panchayat elections. However, in the Lok Sabha elections held last year, their votes were recorded in the flat in Punkunnam. This means that thousands of BJP leaders were brought here to vote,’ he alleged.
Meantime, BJP leaders claim that the new controversy is due to the difficulty of not being able to accept Suresh Gopi's victory. There was a discussion about the fact that fake voters were included in the flats before the election. The party thought that it would end up with the victory. However, when this issue came to light again, came a situation to be defended. In the meantime, the absence of Suresh Gopi is also causing a headache for the party.
