VS’ health condition continues to be critical due to abnormal kidney function and BP

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A medial bulletin released said the health condition of former chief minister and senior CPM leader V S Achuthanandan undergoing treatment in SUT Hospital following cardiac arrest, continues to be critical. The bulletin said though he is responding to medicines, his blood pressure and functioning of kidneys have not been normal.

VS was admitted in the hospital last Monday following cardiac arrest. He is under the treatment of experts from cardiology, nephrology and neurology departments. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, opposition leader V D Satheesan, CPM state secretary M V Govindan and many other leaders visited him in the hospital.

VS’ son Arun Kumar via a Facebook post on Saturday informed a progress on his father’s health condition. ‘There is progress in my father’s condition. The doctors attending on him said that he is responding to medicines. He will be out of danger and return, sure,’ his post said.
