THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, who is undergoing treatment in a critical condition, is showing signs of improvement. It was Achuthanandan's son, V.A. Arun Kumar, who shared this update through a Facebook post. Achuthanandan has now started breathing on his own without the help of medical equipment, shared V.K. Sashidharan, his former Additional Private Secretary, through social media.
Sashidharan had been at Pattom SUT Hospital since Achuthanandan was admitted on June 23. He posted the update on social media before returning home last evening. He mentioned that Achuthanandan took 24 breaths per minute on his own yesterday. Meanwhile, the medical bulletin released by the hospital yesterday morning stated that there was no significant change in his health condition.
