VV Rajesh-PM Modi meeting soon; Thiruvananthapuram Mayor to visit Delhi tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mayor VV Rajesh and BJP councillors are all set to travel to Delhi tomorrow. The team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of BJP's historic win in the Thiruvananthapuram corporation, a bastion of communists for decades. The main objective of the visit is to ensure direct support from the central government for projects aimed at the comprehensive development of Thiruvananthapuram.

The mayor said that the city's preliminary development plan has already been submitted to the Prime Minister, and a more detailed development plan will be submitted once the ward assemblies are completed.

On another note, VV Rajesh promised to take action against the spas operating illegally in the capital city. The mayor said that cross gender massage is being done widely under the guise of spas. The mayor said that the information about a doctor colluding with such firms will be reported to the Medical Council. The mayor also admitted receiving information about a few policemen being in nexus with the mafia.
