THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Orange and yellow alerts have been issued in various districts in wake of heavy rains predicted in the state. Orange alert has been issued in four districts and yellow in eight districts.

15/06/2025: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod (Malappuram, Kozhikode, although there is an orange alert in Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rain similar to a red alert).
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert in the following districts. The possibility of very heavy rain has been predicted in isolated places. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) means that very heavy rain will fall between 115.6 mm and 204.4 mm in 24 hours.

The IMD has declared a yellow alert in the following districts. The possibility of isolated heavy rain is predicted. The IMD defines heavy rain as a situation where 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is received in 24 hours. Rain with thunderstorms is expected.
The IMD advises that those living in areas prone to landslides, mudslides, and flash floods should move to safer places as per the directions of the authorities.
