KOCHI: BJP state president K Surendran has once again threatened the media. Surendran told the media that they would go to the offices of the media and question if news is given against BJP.
"When the state leadership meeting was held the other day, you got a message on your phones. I know who sent it. Don't you have any shame in anything? To give a message forwarded by someone in newspapers and channels. You don't even have an element of ethics. Kerala society is allergic to seeing you. I had told you I'd deal with all of you. We'll come to your offices in the coming days. This is to question. We will come directly to that office from where the fake news was given and question. We have the right to do so," Surendran told the media.
K Surendran had earlier said that no journalist who defamed the BJP in the Palakkad by-election would be spared. "The efforts of some media for the last three to four days to malign the great political movement that hundreds of martyrs have built with their lives, under the guise of Palakkad elections, will not work. No one who has done wrong will be spared. If fake news is spread, it will be dealt with, no matter who did it" Surendran said.
He was replying to media queries after meeting the family members of late Kannur ADM Naveen Babu at his house in Malayalapuzha. He was responding to a question on the public statements of BJP councillors in Palakkad municipality.
